Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

Search terms

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. McMullen County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling.

Messages

An email or contact-form message may be retained long enough to respond, keep a support record, and meet legal obligations. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement applies or a service provider must process it for delivery.

Automatic Technical Data

Ordinary web systems may collect technical and usage details when a page loads:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • referring website, when supplied; and
  • request and event timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies and similar tools help measure use, retain basic preferences, and support advertising. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some functions may operate differently after cookies are blocked.

How Data Is Used

Collected information supports a limited set of operating needs:

  • keep pages available, stable, and responsive;
  • send a search request to the selected partner service;
  • understand which pages visitors find useful;
  • detect errors, misuse, and technical faults; and
  • display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.

Other Websites and Advertising

Links lead to McMullen County offices, Texas agencies, federal locators, release-record resources, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy policy governs its collection and use. A link does not transfer this notice to that service.

Advertising partners may use their own technologies to measure visits or select ads across different websites. That processing occurs on their systems and is governed by their notices and opt-out controls.

Parties That May Receive Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be handled by:

  • search partners that receive a submitted query;
  • analytics providers that measure site use;
  • advertising networks that deliver or assess ads; and
  • law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Service providers receive only the data needed for their role, subject to their own systems and legal obligations.

Data Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet connection, storage platform, or transmission method is completely secure. This notice cannot promise that a breach, interception, or system failure will never occur.

Visitors Under Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Cookie and advertising choices may also be available through the browser or the relevant provider. Some information must be retained when law requires it or a legitimate claim must be preserved.

Texas Privacy Context

Official custody and court records linked from these pages remain governed by the creating agency and applicable Texas law, including the Texas Public Information Act in Government Code Chapter 552. This site does not control an agency’s disclosure, retention, correction, expunction, or nondisclosure duties.

Changes to This Notice

This Privacy Notice may be revised as services, vendors, or legal duties change. The updated text and a new effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use after publication is subject to the revised notice.
